Terms and Policies
The full payment is due upon arrival.
Visa, MasterCard, Debit and Cash/e-transfer are acceptable.
All rates are in Canadian Dollars (CAD)
Additional guests up to maximum occupancy will be charged $15 per person per night or $100 per person per week.
All prices are subject to a 15% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST)
A 5-night minimum stay required except for CBMF concert weekend when a minimum stay of 4 nights is required.
Please contact us if you are interested in staying with us for less than our minimum stay as we may be able to accommodate you if your request fits with vacancies we have between reservations.
For each cottage, a 50% deposit on all totals up to $1000 is taken at time of placing reservation.
The deposit can be made by Visa or MasterCard only.
No reservation will be confirmed until the deposit is received.
We understand and sympathize that situations may arise which necessitate last minute cancellations, however, we must maintain our business policy for all bookings. Most bookings are made months in advance, and as a small business, our peak season covers only 6 weeks. Unnecessary loss of a booking is a serious matter to us and a missed opportunity for others. It is understood that you will be responsible for the entire period reserved. Therefore, the following reservation and cancellation policies shall apply:
There is an automatic $50.00 administration fee withheld from each party who cancels a reservation under any circumstance.
All cancellations prior to 30 days from arrival date are fully refunded, less the $50.00 administration fee.
If less than 30 days notice is given, the deposit paid will be retained by Stanhope Cottages.
If you fail to notice us within 20 days before arrival, you are responsible for the cost of the full stay unless it can be rebooked.
In the event we are successful in rebooking, we will refund any days recovered less the $50.00 administration fee.
We highly recommend that you have coverage under travel insurance to protect yourself from unwanted financial loss.

Between 4:00 p.m and 9:00 p.m on the day of arrival.
A piece of government ID is required for check-in.
By 10:00 a.m on the day of departure.
Please ensure return of keys before departure.
We understand and respect the privacy of our guests. Your e-mail address and information will not be shared with any other business.
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate any pets.
All of our cottages are smoke-free, including cannabis and vaping. Smoking is prohibited within the cottages, but is permitted on the grounds, outside of the cottages. Ashtrays are provided on the deck. Please help keep the grounds clean.
Guests are required to respect quiet hours beginning at 10PM nightly
Absolutely no loud music and partying
We will issue one warning only during the entire stay before asking guests to leave
Stanhope Cottages reserves the right to charge additional fees for items including but not limited to the following items:
late checkout (half day rate)
replacement of unreturned keys
damage and loss to cottage property
additional parking required
extra cleaning required deemed outside the scope of regular housekeeping
removal of odour related to smoking indoors
